After reading Art and Money, I believe, I have the expertise and knowledge to become a successful artist online in a very short period of time. If you would like to follow along, I recommended you get yourself a copy of Art and Money by Zoe Westhof and Chris Guillebeau. Chapter One lays the ground work. It talks about the old way of becoming an artist toiling strugling hoping that some day some one -- a wealthy patron would discover your work. Sure It can probably still be done that way but the Internet changes all of that allowing a new dynamic to unfold. I will work on this during primetime hours after my day job, on days when I am not helpingout with the Grandchildren. I read the book over the weekend and I have listened to most of the interviews during my commute. It's amazing to hear the artist talk about how they use the Internet and work with it as if it were an extension of their art. Not really marketing but just continuing on with their work, discussing what is important to them and developing a following just by being genuine. More on this in the days ahead. The second chapter starts to put you to work . There is a great goal setting exercise. The book recommends sitting down with a pen and paper and writing dow all the reasons why this is the right decision for you and your career. Lets do that now. Here is my list:
