“Creative work is not a selfish act or a bid for attention on the part of the actor.  It is a gift to the world and every being in it. Don’t cheat us of your contribution. Give us what you’ve got”

Hey, Thanks for checking out my about page. Just so things are cool with the FCC, I have to let you know that the above link is an affiliate link. So if you use that link to buy something on Amazon, I make some money.  All the links on this sight that could be monetized are.  This should suffice for the FCC requirements.

I am an artist, living in San Diego, CA where I can paint the ocean, beach, mountains, trails and my grandkids.    My intention is to display my development as an artist.

This year 2010, I am painting mostly small 5 x 7 inch studies in oil, ocassionally I do larger studies.  My goal was 100 hundred small studies.  My goals is slightly modified to do 100 paintings of La Jolla Cove.  It is probably one of the most painted spots in San Diego.

I have learned to paint from many different artists.  My plein air instructor is Patrick Korch, he teaches and manages Highland Valley Studios.

I am currently taking Oil Painting Lessons from Stuart Burton at The Art Academy of San Diego. I am learning a new palette (yellow, orange, red, white, blue and green) and techniques to that will improve my paintings.

I am feeling drawn to do more figure and portraiture work as get nearer to completing my 100 painting goal.  So stayed tune.  It is an artful year.  I believe to become a great Artist, I need about 10% instruction and 90% production.
