Saco tracks # 1

I have been here for three days visiting my mom. The foliage is past its peak in most areas, but the colors are still amazing. It has probably been 15 years since I experienced the fall here. It is absolutely magnificent

Deadlines And Targets

I am very close to hitting my target of 100 Paintings of La Jolla Cove. I am preparing my Studio and the paintings for presentation. I have 4 more to go so I owe my blog readers 11 post to get them up to date.

I am setting up a separate site to perpetually display all 100 paintings, http://100paintings.jeremymckay.com there will be a book , a PDF, and limited prints. I am open to other licensing possibilities. In the mean I am enjoying completing the work and preparing my studio

La Jolla Cove # 83

I am a little behind, the weather, the crazy makers, my own distractions.  It is a phenomenon that happens to artist, programmers, large corporation small corporations, that moments before completing something major,  any distraction even a minor one will show up.  Something at the beginning of the project that seemed inconsequential are now monumental.  It just requires pushing through to the goal.

A gray day in June , La Jolla Cove # 68


It has been gray all week. I usually use that as an opportunity to push other colors like alizarin and black blue into the canvas, but today I decided to use just black and white. I hope you enjoy my 68th painting of La Jolla Cove.
