La Jolla Cove post storm it is amazing, confusing and alot of foam to work with and paint. I had a great time and the ocean really shouted at me today

Point Loma on a Sunday evening. Did this after the rains was hoping for some cool cloud cover, but the sun was actually very bright that evening and the skys were clear.

Big Wave — 9 x 12 Canvas Panel
A 9 x 12 studio piece. This a good start. I am challenged by the ocean and intrigued. My favorite book about painting the ocean is by E. John Robinson. He is the best when it comes to representing the Ocean. This is another way to chronicle my progress, but it is not a quick study.

I tried a 8 x 10 but it really took a little longer than the 5×7. I had to rush the process so I could get to work on time. The waves were tremendous today
