La Jolla Cove # 49, 50, and 51

I love the way each one of these show a different color accent of the cove and the water at the cove.
If you’ve been there, sometimes it a greater blue than anyone could imagine, other times it is grayish.
Generally the closer it gets to shore the light green it gets but not always. Painting is the greatest joy of my day.

North Park is having a plein air competition. I will pause my La Jolla Cove paintings for a bit as I start to focus on North Park city views.

This is an acryllic of La Jolla I did from memory.

I have 49 and 50 in my car. I have really gotten wrapped up in getting one hundred cove paintings done. I need to refactor my total count. I am thinking I need to have topics like that I exhaust like this one. When I get to one hundred that will be a nice beginning, from there I can move on to different scenes and angles at the cove.

Waving at ya! A lady asked me if I sold my paintings and I said not yet, I am writing a book. She gave me a strange look and walked away. Maybe she thought I said “Are you writing a book?”
