My Paintings Were Accepted Into Plein Air North Park Exhibition
Both of my paintings were accepted into the San Diego Art Department’s Plein Air Exhibition. This is the first plein air competition I entered and the only time both of my pieces have been accepted. I am freakin thrilled — that’s a good thing. The paintings wiil be on display from May 15th – June 13th 2010.
Saturday, May 15th – Artist Awards and Open Public Reception from 6:00pm – 9:00pm (awards ceremony at 6:30pm). Voting for People’s Choice Award will begin during the reception and continue through Sunday, May 16th during the North Park Festival of the Arts.
I will be there, if any of you can make it that would be great.

Lily’s Cafe Garden–Gouache– # 3 in the series
Lily’s Garden Cafe it is gouach on bristol matted. I enjoy the way this site welcomes you. It is truly a one of a kind Cafe in southern California. Fantasy Falls — 8 x 10 — Acrylic
I was doing a Jerry Yarnell exercise and had some paint left over. I invented this scene from the canvas, paint and the guidance of my muse. I may post some Jerry Yarnell exercises later. It is an acrylic painting on hardboard, varnished. If you want the original you can have it for $150.00.
