My most recent experience with SQL is MS SQL and MySQL. PL/SQL, and Informix were a few years ago. I was first exposed to ascii SQL in 1996. I prefer to do most of my queries from the command prompt or from scripts and programs that I write. As a programmer I want to get as much done in SQL as I can use to power and accuracy of the SQL to refine the data and use my program to consume, display and pass data to other process, database or reportng mechanisms.
